About Us

Downtown Greenville has become one of the most beautiful, livable, vibrant cities in the United States. Main Street is constantly buzzing with a festival, parade, concert, market, race, or some other event. Even on the weekdays, our downtown sees people pass by of all ages and colors, from all places, in all walks of life, with all kinds of stories. The Swamp Rabbit Trail, Falls Park, the Peace Center, Fluor Field are just some of the anchor points that draw people into our city. It's a place where people want to live, work, serve, and play.

In the middle of all of that, Origins Greenville wants Downtown, the 29601 — and specifically Main Street — to be a place where the church of Jesus is alive and on the move. We think that the place where life happens and the place where faith happens ought to be the same place. So as Main Street gets busier and more people come to live, work, and play Downtown, we want to Make Disciples who love God, one another, and love our city well. We want to be a church in Downtown, of Downtown, and for Downtown. 

About Our PastorS

Pastor is the modern term for the biblical role of elder, shepherd, or overseer. Ultimately, Jesus is the Head of the church, and he entrusts men with the task of being “under-shepherds,” leaders who follow Him in caring for God’s people. Men who filled this role were called to meet biblical requirements as they loved and led God’s local church. In Origins, we have four men who serve as the pastors and elders of our church.
